Family Therapy

This therapeutic program provides for the expression of feelings by the child, as children have questions about dad’s absence and the feelings associated with dad being gone from the child’s perspective. Children often will not share the emotions they are experiencing because the child does not feel safe or does not want to hurt dad’s feelings. This setting provides the child the opportunity to talk about what is really going on in a safe, neutral environment.

A therapist is present at all times to facilitate and assist in processing the feelings experienced by children of neglect, abandonment, or physical abuse, whether by one or both parents and the healing process that allows parent and child to continue bonding in a positive, nurturing relationship.
